Clinical Director – Joanna Trussel, MSW, LCSW, EMDR
Joanna graduated from her Master program in 2002 from Walla Walla University’s Clinical Social Work program. Joanna has worked in Community Mental Health, Residential Treatment Facilities, Wilderness Treatment and with incarcerated patients through her years of work. Joanna specializes in Trauma work and is certified to use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and PE (Progressive Exposure) to address these symptoms of PTSD. Joanna has utilized experiential treatment skills in her Equine Assisted Psychotherapy programs working with Sex Offenders, Anger Management, Families, Corporations, Team Building, and group and individual clinical work. Joanna uses an eclectic approach to address the needs of each individual patient and their families that come into her office.
Lisa Wilmore, LPC
Lisa values the opportunity to walk with you in your journey, no matter where you are at. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. She received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University and earned her master’s degree from Western Michigan University in Couples, Marriage, and Family Therapy. She also graduated from a Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Lisa has additional training in a variety of areas including play therapy and trauma-informed care. Before attending graduate school, Lisa worked at an alternative high school mentoring students in challenging circumstances. Lisa enjoys working with people from all diverse backgrounds. She specializes in working with children, distressed couples, and people struggling with addiction. Lisa is endlessly curious to learn people’s stories and feels deeply privileged to be invited into these stories every day. Her approach to counseling comes from an attachment perspective wherein we learn how to adapt to life’s hardships through our most important relationships. Her office is a safe, non-judgemental space.
Julie King, LCSW
Julie received her Bachelor’s degree from BYU-Idaho and her Master’s degree from Walla Walla University. Julie has worked in residential treatment, CBRS, and ARFIP programs. Julie has done individual and family therapy and loves helping others. Julie specializes in working with children, teens, and families. Julie has a background in helping others with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavior issues, and takes on a CBT based approach. Julie is kind, compassionate, and non-judgemental in her interactions with others.
Cindy Wade, LPC, EMDR
Cindy is an Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and her Master’s degree in Counseling, both from Idaho State University. Cindy has worked with K-12 children and college level students, families, individuals, and couples. She has enjoyed working in the school district, including the alternative high school. She has worked in a clinical setting, and on campus with traditional and non-traditional college students. Cindy has also worked with the elderly in Residential Treatment Facilities, and with numerous community service organizations, as well as prison ministry. Cindy works from a humanistic perspective and utilizes various theories best suited for the client. She works with all populations and is trained to use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Fillial and Play therapy, Adlerian therapy, Reality therapy, CBT, DBT, and is solution focused. Cindy values building a relationship of trust with each individual client and feels this is vital for the journey to healing. Her office is a safe space where the client can comfortably express concerns and fears and find acceptance without judgement. She looks forward to walking your journey with you.
